Yoga Stretch is a series of movements that are designed to strengthen and stretch the body and calm the mind. You will be guided through a full body series of exercises that focus on mindful movement to create strong and flexible joints, along with working on balance, with a "flow" through movement.
This class is designed for all ages and stages of life.

Chair yoga allows you to perform yoga poses while seated or using a chair for balance. Chair-based yoga offers the same benefits as traditional yoga, like boosting strength, flexibility, and mental well-being, while being safely modified, offering a version of traditional yoga that makes the practice more accessible for people with physical limitations or mobility issues.
Chair Yoga is currently being offered alongside Stretch Yoga as a safe option for any student who wishes to paticipate-just let Jamie Maginess, the physical Instructor, know-she will be glad to accomodate you!

Hi! My name is Jamie Maginness and I am a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer with 24 years experience in the Health and Wellness industry.
In the year 2000, I became a Water Fit instructor and have stated that like a tadpole, I worked my way "out of the water" onto land in Group Fitness classes. 2 years later I became a certified Personal Trainer, within the greater Kansas City YMCA's, and a couple small community centers, both training and teaching. In my journey, I discovered that my passion is working with the aging population to maintain health and vitality. My experience includes, but not limited to:

When my husband's job transferred us to Las Vegas in 2015, I worked at the Durango Hills YMCA. We decided we like the "small town" feel best, and moved to Pahrump in 2020. I currently teach and Train at FitZone (formerly Fitness for 10).
Since my humble beginnings, I have found myself drawn to health and wellness not only physically, but mentally, nutritionally, and spiritually.
Spirit, Mind, and Body are truly connected, and we choose each day how we will move in all 3.
